"In the woods, we return to reason & Faith.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson
One of my earliest attempts at creating an abstraction, this image is still a mainstay in my collection for its vibrant punch of warm colors. Painting with the available light, you could almost feel the trees and leaves! Autumnal foliage was on full display here and I took advantage of the brief time with this color. Fortunately these images aren't to difficult to obtain, as long as the results are to your creative satisfaction.
You are the artist here, and you're in control. I tend to leave the slightest bit of reality in the image to hint at what the actual subject matter was, however you can decide. A tree trunk looks to be pulled up from the bottom of the frame. This added a nice visual anchor in the photo, with a partially in focus element amongst the blurring.
