"There is no abstract art. You must always start with something. Afterward you can remove all traces of reality." - Pablo Picasso
In the late hours of the daylight, the vibrance and warmth takes over any image you set out to take. I have realized over time that my 'thesis' for my portfolio is to blur the lines between the science (whether that be biology, ecology, zoology, etc) with my previous background in the fine arts (painting, drawing, etc). Using nature as a focal point for this diverse mix, this is where the tree grows and take root.
The amazing thing about nature photography is that there is simply no way to exhaust all subjects and ideas. In a typical day I could be focusing on birds, blurs, long exposure, mammals, sunrises and sunsets. There is always something new or different to see, 365 days of the year.
