The Cascades

A very popular and scenic destination in the Glen. "The Cascades" as known on the trail map is a stunning display of flowing water; a waterfall. This natural landmark is also a prime photographic opportunity within the nature preserve, as many point their lenses towards it.
Looking beautiful in all seasons, I chose this warm sunny day to get a different take on the scene. The vibrant green foliage overtook the top part of the frame, as I was using a small telephoto lens to zoom in closer than the handrails and my feet could take me. From there it was as easy as using a filter or two and slowing the shutter to create the aesthetic of blurring the motion.
