"Nature gives to every time and season some beauties of its own; and from morning to night, as from cradle to grave, is but a succession of changes so gentle and easy that we can scarcely mark their progress." - Charles Dickens
An image begging to grace the front of a postcard, the "miniature Niagara" of southwest Ohio is on full display here. Green foliage and a heavy rainfall before shutter capture meant the 'falls were flowing ever faster. My placement was right at the observation area above the waterfall, which gave me the best look despite shooting it at an angle.
One issue I encountered as I worked the scene was having to find the best way to capture the waterfall and at what focal length. In this case 24mm was the 'just right' angle to work the scene with. Next, the foliage was posing difficulties as it obscured parts of the water. There was no 100% clear view of the subject that I liked, as this photo is the closest I got to the vision I had for the shot. Despite all of this, the beautiful long exposure works well anyways.
