The Yellow Springs

A tightly framed, cropped-in image of a very scenic waterfall. This geological rock formation is rather small yet stands out in the summer green foliage. The iron orange rocks are special to photograph and do not compare to other gorges or waterfalls.
A small telephoto zoom lens is perfect for extracting details out of a larger scene as I did here. A lens such as that is more freeing than limiting, opening up your composition to more creative ways. Eliminating distractions reduces a reliance on the extraneous and more on the focal point of interest.
