Winter Woodland
Beavercreek, Ohio
"Does the person make the journey, or does the journey make the person?"
It was early winter and this was the first proper snowfall for the season. A small telephoto landscape scene like this is what I had in mind. Previously I had taken a similar shot during transitioning autumnal colors when they were a vibrant yellow. However here there is a more lowkey and almost serene atmosphere to the scene.
The calm beauty of untouched snow as it lines the tree branches. To see the entire woodland blanketed was something to behold. The snowfall ended and I was left with all of this subject matter to work with from the wide to the macro. My aim for prospective viewers is to feel they can "reach out" into the image for its scale and depth.
